Three of JCP’s brain injury experts have been recognised among the best in this year’s Headway Head Injury Solicitors Directory. Our specialist legal experts Mei Li, Matthew Owen, and Keith Thomas have once again been listed amongst the top brain injury solicitors in the UK.
The three solicitors, who lead our Injury Services teams, have been included in the 2023 directory, which is a comprehensive list of solicitors across the UK who specialise in supporting clients with brain injury.
Mei, Matthew and Keith were once again included thanks to their extensive experience of dealing sensitively with people affected by serious head injuries and their families, and representing their interests tirelessly and effectively.
Thanks to Keith’s particular dedication to this area, he has been included in the Headway directory for over 10 years, which is a fantastic achievement.
Director and overall team head, Keith Thomas is consistently listed amongst the leading individual solicitors in Wales in the Legal 500, and is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel along with the Headway Specialist Panel. He specialises in birth and acquired brain injury cases and is acclaimed for his expertise in catastrophic injury cases. Chambers 2023 states that: "Keith Thomas was meticulous, hard-working, approachable and clearly had an outstanding wealth of knowledge on catastrophic brain injury claims. He kept us updated and explained every step involved."
While Mei Li, Director and Head of Catastrophic Injury, is also recognised as a legal leader in the field of brain injury. She is the Secretary of the South West Wales Brain Injury group, a Member and Treasurer of Swansea Medico-Legal Society, and a Member and Senior Litigator of APIL (The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). She is dedicated to enhancing legal practices around brain injury and has been described as ‘effective and hardworking’ by the Legal 500.
Finally Matthew Owen, Director and Head of Medical Negligence, is a member of the Law Society Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and an active member and supporter of the Pembrokeshire branch of Headway. Matthew is endorsed in the 2023 Chambers Guide for his broad practice including advising on birth and brain injury cases. A direct quote from the Guide states that “Matthew is excellent, he is very well organised and always has his finger on the pulse.”
All three solicitors are recognised amongst the best in the UK thanks to their commitment to offering quality legal representation to clients facing life-changing brain injuries.
