Employment Law

Regardless of whether you are a sole trader or large PLC, it is imperative as an employer not to overlook aspects of your business. Employment law is ever-changing as a result of constant changes in legislation and case law, and we can keep you updated to avoid the possibility of unnecessarily putting you, and your business, at risk.

We will explore the possibility of resolving disputes through negotiation and conciliation, and since prevention is better than cure, we will also advise where possible, on how to avoid problems arising in the first place. However, we appreciate that a certain amount of conflict is inevitable, and as a result, we strive to put you in a stronger position to defend your business in the event of a claim being made.

We also offer an HR service called the Employment Protection Scheme. Using this scheme our team can act as your HR department, providing the level of support you  need. From a complete HR solution to providing mentoring support to an already established HR team.

If your business is unfortunately looking at a redundancy situation, our team are experienced at holding signing days to advise high volumes of employees in mass rounds of settlement. Groups of employees will attend these signing days and each employee will meet with one of our qualified solicitors on an individual basis for advice on their particular circumstances.  We have experience providing this service on a local and national basis.

We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients to develop an understanding of their specific requirements and a deep appreciation of the way in which their business works. We like to provide a personal service designed to meet their unique needs.

The Employment & HR team are listed as a top tier team in the Legal 500 2016 edition.
