Trainee Solicitor Programme
Trainee solicitor applications are now open, and we are recruiting for 2025, 2026 and 2027 intakes.
We are accepting both LPC and SQE students, but you must have completed or due to complete your LPC or SQE 1 before your potential training contract start date. You must be available for an hour-long interview on Tuesday 11 March 2025 and a full-day assessment centre on Wednesday 12 March 2025.
Why join the team at JCP as a Trainee?
Our Trainee Solicitor positions offer an exciting and comprehensive training programme over two years, with a variety of seats to be undertaken in a range of teams. As a Trainee Solicitor of JCP Solicitors, you will experience three seats on an eight-month rotation, in a mixture of contentious and non-contentious areas.
We recognise the importance of training and development for our employees and during our Trainee Solicitor programme, you will work in a supportive environment alongside Directors, Associates, and our dedicated Training Principal. In each seat, you will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills that will maximise your potential and enable you to carry out your role with excellence. The quality and variety of our clients and specialities will give you exposure to an interesting and challenging workload, whilst learning the role of a Solicitor.
Alongside your professional external courses, you will also have access to a range of in-house courses and will attend two appraisal meetings with the Training Principal at the middle and end of each seat. These meetings will enable you to review your progress and discuss future skills and objectives to ensure you get the best out of your training contract.
There are opportunities to get involved in networking and charitable activities alongside our various internal groups such as our D&I group, Environment & Sustainability group, Mental Health Champions, Team JCP Community Group, Learning Support group and many more.
