Lauren understands that making a medical negligence claim can be a very difficult and emotional time for clients and she ensures that clients are fully supported and kept up to date throughout the legal process. Lauren has experience in dealing with a wide range of medical negligence claims including cases involving surgical errors, delays in diagnosis, cancer treatment and orthopaedic injuries. Lauren specialises in dealing with NHS Wales Redress Scheme cases.
Before joining JCP as a Trainee Solicitor, Lauren took a year out of her university studies and worked at JCP as an Undergraduate Paralegal. During the year, Lauren was a member of both Business Support and Lifetime Planning Teams, and was delighted to be offered a Trainee Solicitor position once she had finished studying.
Lauren graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from Swansea University in 2016 and completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction in 2017. Upon completion of her studies, Lauren commenced her training contract where she completed seats in the Property Litigation, Commercial Property and Medical Negligence departments. Lauren is now looking forward to qualifying into the Medical Negligence department in September 2019.
Lauren is also a member of the Swansea Junior Lawyers Division, where she plays a key role in organising networking events for junior lawyers in the community.
Lauren undertook training in 2020 to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.
Outside of work Lauren enjoys going on holiday, spending time with her family and friends and walking her dog Harvey. Lauren also enjoys keeping fit, she has completed the JCP Swansea Half Marathon and Llanelli Half Marathon where she raised over £800 for charity.
