New Diocesan Role at St Davids Cathedral For Local Lawyer

The Diocese of St Davids has welcomed a new Diocesan Registrar to the fold, who is a key figure within the local business and legal community.

Arwel Davies, who is Director in Lifetime Planning at JCP Solicitors’ St Davids and Fishguard office, will have now enjoy a broader role within the Diocese. Arwel has already used his legal expertise – and his singing voice - for the good of the Cathedral for many years as a Chapter Clerk and Lay Clerk in the Cathedral Choir.

Arwel says: “St Davids Cathedral has been part of my life for almost 40 years now, since I joined the choir as a boy and I went on to become Chapter Clerk there, doing legal work for the Cathedral. It is a pleasure to be part of the Cathedral family. There is very much the feeling that it has a long and vibrant future ahead of it, since it is such an integral part of the fabric of life in St Davids, both for visitors and holiday makers, who enjoy visiting this beautiful building as a tourist attraction, and for those local people who enjoy its daily services.

“I have been a St Davids resident all my life and I am proud to live and work here, and to be part of such a unique community.”

“I now look forward to my wider role throughout the Diocese, working with the Bishop, the Dean and Archdeacons, the Diocesan office and all priests and congregations.”
