Rebecca Bates

Rebecca Bates is an Associate Solicitor in the Family Law team, based in the Swansea office. Rebecca deals with a wide range of family matters, including divorce, finances, children matters and cohabitee disputes. Rebecca is committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes with the aim of achieving the best possible result for each client.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Reading with a 2.1 in Law. She then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at The University of Law in Guildford, where she was awarded a distinction. 

Prior to joining JCP Solicitors, Rebecca worked as a social welfare law caseworker for a legal aid practice and for an advice centre in Cardiff. She has also worked as an Advocacy Officer for a local charity.

Rebecca commenced her Training Contract with JCP Solicitors in September 2016 and as part of her training spent time in our Injury Services and Family Law Departments. Rebecca qualified as an Associate Solicitor in September 2018.

Outside work, Rebecca enjoys yoga, music festivals and spending time outside with her young family.
