Rasha Jassim

Rasha is an Associate Solicitor within our Commercial Property team. With a wealth of experience in this area, she brings a client-focused and detail-oriented approach to every transaction.

Rasha joined JCP in 2022 drawn by the strong reputation of its Commercial Property team in Wales and beyond. Rasha's journey into law followed an academic foundation in languages, with a BA (Hons) in Italian from Swansea University. She later pursued her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law in London, graduating in 2009. Rasha then undertook her training contract and qualified as a solicitor in 2014.

Rasha’s background and primary area of practice is in shipbuilding contracts and associated refund guarantees, ship sale and purchase transactions and ship financing over a wide spectrum of commercial shipping. She has acted for major ship owners, shipbuilders, financiers and private equity firms. She has experience in negotiating and drafting a range of commercial contracts such as shipbuilding contracts, sale and purchase agreements, technical and commercial management contracts, conversion, repair and refit contracts. She also has particular experience in superyacht and luxury asset-related matters, including the sale and purchase of new-build superyachts and yacht design contracts.

Rasha acts for clients on all aspects of commercial property matters and primarily deals with sales and acquisitions of land, infrastructure agreements including s.106 agreements, and financing matters to facilitate the acquisitions of commercial property, land and agricultural property. She also acts on behalf of commercial landlords and tenants in relation to commercial leases, licences, lease extensions, and deeds of dedication. Rasha also assists the healthcare team with property-related matters.

Rasha is fluent in Italian.
