Ian Rees

Ian is a Director and Head of the Personal Injury Team. Ian and his team deal with all types of Personal Injury claims, including road traffic accidents, cycling accidents, accidents at work, and accidents in the home. Whilst Ian oversees the more general Personal Injury claims in the team, he himself specialises in more complex matters involving spinal injury, severe orthopaedic injuries, amputation and those involving Industrial Disease.  

Ian and his team are focused on achieving the very best outcome for individuals and their families through difficult times, who have been injured, often with life-changing injuries, through no fault of their own.

Ian has been working in the specialist area of Personal Injury for 25 years since qualifying in 1998 and has helped numerous clients through the emotional journey of pursuing complex Personal Injury claims. Ian recognises that coping with these injuries, reduced quality of life, along with any loss of income, can be a traumatic time and he will do all he can to reduce the stress and anxiety for the client and the client’s family.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys spending time with his family and, much to his children’s annoyance, exploring the Welsh landscape through long walks. He also has a keen interest in all sports, particularly rugby, golf, and cricket and is an avid supporter of the Swans which he attends with his son.

Ian is a fluent Welsh speaker and is happy to deal with clients in either the Welsh or English language.
