Beverley Bowen
Beverley is a key part of the Lifetime Planning team, with a specialism in advising on Wills and Probate matters for agricultural clients. Dealing with complex tax advice as well as Estate and Succession Planning issues, she regularly gives talks to agricultural clients on Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR) which can often reduce an otherwise hefty Inheritance Tax bill.
Beverley has a strong knowledge in this niche sector and can often be found on the JCP stand in various agricultural shows or running seminars and workshops on the subject of estate planning to manage rural affairs.
Beverley has extensive experience in preparing various types of Wills and Trusts and with conducting the administration of estates and trusts, as well as dealing with the drafting of personal injury trusts, the ongoing administration of these trusts and deputyship matters for elderly clients.
Beverley has been admitted as a full member of STEP (Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners). STEP is a leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues. STEP members provide expert advice on how to comply with the often complex law and tax rules surrounding trusts, estates and inheritance and are the most experienced in those fields. Beverley passed all 4 modules of STEP – the Administration of Estates, Administration of Trusts, Estate and Trust taxation and Trust and Estate Accounting with a distinction.
Beverley joined JCP in 2006 as a Trainee Solicitor. She had previously studied law at Cardiff University and completed her LPC at Cardiff Law School in 2005 for which she received the accolade the Highest Achiever of the Year. Beverley was awarded the STEP Excellence Award for the highest mark in the Administration of Estates November 2010 examination paper for England and Wales. Beverley has worked in the area of Wills and Probate since qualification in 2008.
Beverley was joint President of Soroptimist International Swansea during 2014-2015. A Dementia Friend, Beverley is also an active member of Swansea’s Dementia Supportive Community which aims to improve the life of those living with dementia and their carers in Swansea.
