Pembrokeshire Four Seasons Business Lunch
Join us at Hotel Plas Hyfred, on Friday 21 September 2018 for a 1pm lunch with guest speaker Tyrone O'Sullivan OBE.
Miner’s champion, Tyrone, is a respected figure in Welsh industry, and one of the most recognised figures from one of the country’s most emotive and turbulent eras.
Born into a mining family, the former NUM branch secretary worked at Tower Colliery for more than 40 years and became a key figure during the 1984/1985 miners' strike.
He went on to orchestrate the successful workers’ buy-out of Tower Colliery in the Cynon Valley – which he and his mining colleagues did using their redundancy payouts - after it was closed by the Government.
Tyrone has emerged as an inspirational, if straight-talking, figure, both for his dogged stance during the miners strikes and for his championing of employees’ rights in general. As a public speaker, he is never less than memorable and moving.
The cost of this lunch is £21.
