JCP Solicitors Supports Grain Purchase Of Pizzatipi

JCP Solicitors recently acted for WCC Estates Limited, owners of popular West Wales hospitality chain Grain, in the successful purchase of Cardigan’s waterfront restaurant Pizzatipi from the Tucker Lynch Family.

The transaction marks the first time that the restaurant has changed hands since doors opened over 15 years ago.  Led by JCP’s Betsan Powell, Head of the Corporate team, the transaction also had support from Commercial Property Director, Souiful Alam and Employment Director, Angela West.

Betsan said: “This was a brilliant local deal to support in West Wales. We wish the new owners every success in this new venture, taking over a much-loved Cardigan destination and investing in the local area.”

Ben Washbrook said: “We are so excited that Grain is taking over the Pizzatipi in Cardigan. It has been an incredible journey for the Tucker Lynch family, who have run the Tipi for many years, and we’re grateful to them for passing the torch. We’re honoured to take it on and bring some new energy to this amazing venue.

“We thank the team at JCP Solicitors for their expert eye and legal guidance. We look forward to this next chapter for Grain and our teams.”

Originally established in St Davids in 2021, Grain expanded to Carmarthen’s Queen St in 2023. The addition of Pizzatipi brings Grain’s holdings to three venues across West Wales, all managed in partnership with Bluestone Brewing.
