We are evolving how we recruit and develop our future Solicitors. With the introduction of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), we are offering an exciting new route to qualification - as a Graduate Legal Assistant (GLA). This role provides the same high-quality training and experience as a traditional Trainee Solicitor position, but with the flexibility and focus today’s aspiring solicitors are looking for. You will:

• Gain Qualifying Work Experience (QWE)
• Have a 24-month fixed-term contract in a specialist team
• Not need SQE1 prior to commencement, however you will need to be enrolled onto an SQE prep course before your start date - start your journey now

As a Graduate Legal Assistant, you will join one of our specialist legal teams on a 24-month fixed-term contract, gaining hands-on experience from day one. Working alongside experienced solicitors, you will build the skills and knowledge required to qualify through the SQE route.

Rather than rotating across teams, you can have the opportunity to develop deeper expertise within your chosen practice area — allowing you to become a trusted and integral part of our business.

There will be opportunities to get involved in networking and charitable activities alongside our various internal colleague led groups such as our D&I committee, Environment and Sustainability, Mental Health Champions, #TeamJCP Community Group, the Learning Support Group and many more.
