JCP Solicitors’ Family Team Join Resolution
Congratulations are in order for JCP Solicitors’ Family team, as Jill Bulteel, Claire Davies and Rebecca Bates become members of Resolution: the UK’s leading community of family justice professionals.
Founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers, Resolution champions a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters. The organisation is committed to reducing conflict within family proceedings and promoting child-centred practices that place the welfare of children at the heart of divorce and separation. Resolution also played an instrumental role in the adoption of ‘No Fault Divorce’ and continues to campaign for positive change across the family justice system, including co-habitation law reform, which is now gathering momentum.
As members of Resolution, Jill, Claire and Rebecca join a network of professionals committed to upholding Resolution’s Code of Practice, which encourages a respectful and collaborative approach to resolving family issues. Through their membership - and the existing membership and Children Committee role Angela Killa holds at Resolution - the team further strengthens JCP Solicitors’ commitment to helping clients navigate sensitive family law matters with compassion, clarity and a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for families and their children.
Named in the Legal 500 industry guide as a ‘Leading Partner’, Jill Bulteel heads up JCP Solicitors’ Family team from the Caerphilly office as Director and Head of Family and advises clients on complex and contentious family law matters, including children issues and surrogacy law.
Claire Davies, Senior Associate Solicitor in the Family team, is also recognised as a key lawyer in the Legal 500 2026 rankings and a recommended lawyer in Doyle’s Guide, 2026. Claire regularly supports clients with divorce, financial remedy matters and complex negotiations, helping families to take constructive approach throughout proceedings and reducing acrimony where possible.
Rebecca Bates, Senior Associate Solicitor in the Family team, advises clients on a range of family law matters including divorce, financial issues and arrangements for children. Rebecca is committed to supporting clients through challenging situations with empathy and practical guidance, helping families to move forward positively.
Welsh speaker Angela Killa is a Director and Deputy Head of the family team and named as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in the Legal 500, has been a member of Resolution for several years. Angela recently presented the Child Law Update at Resolution’s National Conference along with her Children Committee co-chair, Natalie Sutherland. They both arranged the recent 4th annual Resolution Modern Families Forum and have written a chapter each for the upcoming Resolution Family Law Handbook.
