Maia is a Graduate Legal Assistant within the Corporate and Commercial team, supporting the firm’s corporate and healthcare specialists on a range of complex transactions. Her role focuses on assisting with transactional matters while ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to clients throughout each stage of the process.
Maia joined JCP Solicitors in September 2023 as part of the firm’s undergraduate placement scheme, completing her placement year within the Employment team. Following the successful completion of her placement, she accepted a permanent position within the wider Corporate and Commercial team, continuing to work part-time while completing her LLB at Cardiff University.
In February 2026, Maia progressed into her current role as a Graduate Legal Assistant. She continues to work within the Corporate and Commercial services team and works closely alongside Rhianydd in the Corporate Healthcare team. Her work has an increasing focus on supporting sales and acquisitions within the dental sector, assisting clients with transactions that are often complex and time sensitive.
Alongside her role at JCP, Maia is studying for her SQE examinations as she works towards qualification. The firm’s supportive and collaborative environment played a key role in her professional development and motivated her to apply for a graduate legal assistant position in February 2026. Maia is keen to broaden her expertise across corporate and commercial matters and to continue developing her skills within a firm that has consistently supported her legal development.
Outside of work, Maia enjoys weight training, which she uses both as a way to unwind and as a personal challenge. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly taking her dog, Lwcus, on long walks and runs.
