Hi, I am James, a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Residential Property team based in Carmarthen.
I advise clients on a wide range of residential property matters, including purchases and sales, leases, mortgages, equity release and transfers of equity.
I have developed significant experience acting for clients across England and Wales, including working on complex and high-value residential transactions. I take a practical and client-focused approach, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently while keeping clients fully informed throughout.
I work closely with local estate agents and mortgage brokers, building strong professional relationships that help to ensure transactions run as smoothly as possible for my clients.
I graduated from Swansea University in 2016 with a law degree, before completing a master’s degree in law. During my time at university, I also undertook a summer placement in California, working with the Office of the Public Defender.
I began my legal career at Hains & Lewis Solicitors in Haverfordwest, where I completed my training contract. Prior to joining my current firm in 2026, I spent six years as an Associate Solicitor at Ungoed-Thomas & King in Carmarthen.
Outside of work, I am a keen musician and play both the piano and drums. I also enjoy skiing in France and Austria, and travelling more generally, with Japan and Singapore among my favourite destinations.
