I am the CEO at JCP Solicitors, a position I have held since 2010. As a leader of the senior management team, I have primary responsibility on operational and strategic issues including finance, IT, people and compliance. I am also very passionate about succession planning across all areas of the business to ensure business longevity and career development opportunities at all levels.
From 2015 – 2017 I was President of Swansea Bay Business Club and am currently a member of the Court of Swansea University and sit on the Advisory Board for the Alternative Legal Management.
My role at JCP has developed since joining as an evening typist in November 1990. My appointment to full equity partnership in 2012 is believed to be one of the first female non-lawyer equity partner appointments at an indigenous Welsh law firm.
In November 2004 I obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Nottingham Trent University and I am a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, the Institute of Legal Cashiers and The Law Management Section of the Law Society.
Due to my role development, vision for the business and implemented strategies, I am proud to have won the prestigious IWA Inspire Wales Business Leader Award 2013, the Swansea Bay Business Woman of the Year Award 2013 and the Influential Woman of the Decade at the Swansea Bay Woman of the Year Awards 2019.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling, skiing and spending time with my four wonderful grandchildren.
