Hi, I’m Daniel, an Undergraduate Legal Assistant currently undertaking my placement year in the Corporate and Commercial team at JCP Solicitors while studying for my Law degree at Cardiff University. I am looking forward to working in a fast-paced professional environment, gaining real-world legal experience, and developing my skills whilst building strong relationships with experts in the career I want to pursue.
I chose JCP because of its excellent reputation in the city I live in and love. Beginning my legal career with an award-winning firm that has a history of supporting students during placement and beyond is something I had in mind from the very start of my degree, and I feel lucky to be able to do so.
Before joining JCP, I worked at a camp for underprivileged children, where I developed qualities of sensitivity and care that I can bring to supporting clients facing real-life challenges. My experience in retail has also given me adaptability and efficiency, skills that will help me thrive in the diverse and dynamic area of APL, where no two disputes are ever the same.
Outside of work, I enjoy skateboarding, surfing, and boxing, all of which have taught me resilience – a quality I hope to carry into my legal career.
