Amelia is an Undergraduate Legal Assistant in the Corporate and Commercial team at JCP Solicitors. She is currently studying for an LLB Law degree at Cardiff University, having commenced her studies in 2024. Before attending university, Amelia studied Law, Criminology, Psychology and the Welsh Baccalaureate at Gower College Swansea.
Alongside her studies, Amelia has gained valuable legal experience through the Hugh James Continuing Healthcare Scheme, where she worked on simulated NHS Continuing Healthcare cases. This experience helped her develop strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of the practical application of legal principles.
Amelia has also completed client interviewing training through the Cardiff University Law Clinic, strengthening her communication, active listening and client care skills.
With a particular interest in Corporate & Commercial Law, Amelia is keen to continue developing her legal knowledge and practical experience within the sector. She joined JCP Solicitors because of the firm's strong reputation, commitment to delivering excellent client service and supportive approach to developing future legal professionals.
Prior to joining JCP Solicitors, Amelia worked as a Barista at Costa Coffee for four years, where she developed excellent customer service, teamwork, communication and time management skills within a fast-paced environment. She has also successfully achieved the Cardiff Award, recognising her commitment to personal development, employability and extracurricular achievement.
Outside of work and study, Amelia enjoys reading, running, going to the gym and maintaining an active lifestyle.
