Our First Solicitor Qualifies Via The SQE Route

We are delighted to share some exciting news - Abigail Price, from our Court of Protection Team, has officially qualified as a solicitor, becoming the first at JCP Solicitors to do so via the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

The SQE was introduced in 2021 as a new, centralised pathway to becoming a solicitor in England and Wales. Designed to increase access to the legal profession, it offers a more flexible and inclusive alternative to the traditional training contract. Abi’s qualification marks the completion of our first full SQE cycle and reflects our commitment to supporting new and diverse routes into law.

Abi joined JCP Solicitors in 2021 as a legal assistant during her undergraduate placement year in the Court of Protection team. While completing the final year of her law degree, Abi continued to work part-time with us, graduating in 2023 and going on to balance SQE study alongside her role.

Her hard work and dedication have paid off, and we’re delighted to celebrate this important milestone in her career.
