JCP Director Raises Over £50,000 For Faith In Families
At JCP Solicitors we are proud to share that, as President of Swansea Bay Business Club 2024-2025, our Marketing Director Amy Seppman has spearheaded fundraising efforts for Faith in Families - raising a total of £54,640 to support children and families in Swansea.
Fundraising surpassed the aims of Amy’s ‘40 cubed challenge’: set in 2024, the Business Club President aimed to raise £40,000 by encouraging 40 people to participate in 40 activities for her chosen charity Faith in Families.
Reaching the incredible total of £54,640, fundraising efforts truly exceeded expectation. Swansea Bay Business Club members, friends and partners took part in gargantuan physical and creative challenges, including walking the Welsh Three Peaks twice; running the Swansea Half Marathon; a gruelling 400 mile cycle from Fishguard to London; a Pier to Pier walk from Swansea to Port Talbot; the CarTen bike ride from Cardiff to Tenby; an inclusive art auction, and a host of fundraising lunches.
Generous match funding from Howden, Lloyds Bank, and Lloyd & Whyte enhanced key fundraising moments, boosting every pound raised and transforming it into vital support for Swansea children and families living in poverty and crisis.
As partners of Swansea Bay Business Club, JCP Solicitors is delighted to congratulate Amy on this remarkable fundraising achievement.
Amy Seppman, President of Swansea Bay Business Club 2024–2025, said: "Choosing Faith in Families was one of the easiest decisions I ever made. The stories I heard and the impact I saw reinforced to me why community matters.
“The business sector has the power to make a real difference, and our members rose to every challenge with generosity and spirit. This partnership has shown that when we support local families, we strengthen the whole region. I know that this the momentum will continue long after my presidency ends."
The funds raised will go towards Faith in Families’ Community Cwtches and Multibank. These key services across Swansea provide support for local community centres where families can access parental support, therapies, hot meals, parent and toddler groups, and essentials such as warm clothes, hygiene products, school uniforms, and bedding. Funds will also support the Brighter Futures Project, providing bespoke 1-2-1 interventions for children who need extra support in managing strong emotions and processing trauma.
Overall, the vital funds will be a lifeline to the charity: their engagement teams can continue to provide wellbeing support with dignity, for families who need it most.
Cherrie Bija, CEO of Faith in Families, said: "This partnership has shown exactly what can happen when a business community chooses to stand with children who need support the most. The difference made by this two-year collaboration is extraordinary. Families who felt overwhelmed have found stability. Children who felt unseen have found confidence and connection.
“The need in Swansea Bay is rising, and partnerships like this are vital. We cannot thank Swansea Bay Business Club enough for their commitment, and we genuinely hope more businesses choose Faith in Families as their charity of choice. When businesses back their community, they transform it."
