Bikes, Bags & Big Dreams – Amy & Hollie’s Epic Easter Challenge For Swansea Bay Families
Amy Seppman, Marketing Director at JCP Solicitors and President of Swansea Bay Business Club, will be embarking on an incredible journey from Fishguard to London, all by bicycle, this Easter weekend – in aid of children and families across Swansea Bay.
Setting off this Thursday, Amy Seppman and her friend Hollie Labunsky will begin a six-day, 414-mile, self-supported bikepacking cycling challenge to raise vital funds for Swansea Bay charity Faith in Families. Riding unsupported along the stunning and demanding National Cycle Route 4, the duo will pedal from the Pembrokeshire coast all the way to the heart of London, fuelled by determination, community spirit – and hopefully a few Easter eggs.
Faith in Families is Swansea Bay Business Club’s Chosen Charity for the duration of Amy’s two-year presidency. With an ambitious pledge to raise £40,000, Amy is already close to smashing that target with over £38,500 raised – and this challenge could push her over the line.
Amy’s cycling companion, Hollie Labunsky, an Economics, Criminology and Business teacher at Treorchy Comprehensive School, brings equal passion and pedal-power to the challenge. Together, they’ll take on steep climbs, country lanes, and city streets to raise awareness and funds for families who need it most.
Their journey will look like this:
- Day 1 – Thursday 17th April: Fishguard to St Clears (66 miles)
- Day 2 – Friday 18th April: St Clears to Llanelli (53 miles)
- Day 3 – Saturday 19th April: Llanelli to Caerphilly (63 miles)
- Day 4 – Sunday 20th April: Caerphilly to Bath (75 miles)
- Day 5 – Monday 21st April: Bath to Windsor (107 miles)
- Day 6 – Tuesday 22nd April: Windsor to Greenwich (50 miles), ending with a celebratory ride through London
They’re calling on the public to support them – whether that’s by cheering them on roadside, offering an energy bar, or donating to the cause here: https://localgiving.org/fundraising/Fish-Don
Amy Seppman, Marketing Director at JCP Solicitors and Swansea Bay Business Club President, said:
“As part of my Swansea Bay Business Club presidential term, we’ve been supporting Faith in Families, an incredible local charity, who support children and families who experience poverty, right here on our doorstep.
“As if climbing the Welsh Three Peaks next month, amongst a calendar of exciting charity events with Swansea Bay Business Club, wasn’t enough, we’re taking on an ambitious 414-mile ride to hopefully get us over the line of our £40,000 target even earlier than planned. Any donation, big or small, goes to this fantastic charity, so please dig deep and give what you can.”
Faith in Families CEO, Cherrie Bija, said:
“Amy and Hollie are absolute superheroes. Their journey isn’t just about miles – it’s about impact. Every pedal they push brings us closer to helping more children in crisis, more families in need, and more communities in recovery.”
Faith in Families is at the heart of Swansea Bay, providing transformative support for families facing poverty, trauma, and crisis. Through services like Community Cwtches, 1-to-1 therapy, family support, and Wales’ first Multibank – Cwtch Mawr – the charity ensures that families from the Swansea Bay area have access to essentials like clothing, hygiene products, school uniforms, and warm bedding when they need them most.
This isn’t just a bike ride. It’s a lifeline.
