Stay Vigilant: Fraud and Security Warnings
Bank Fraud Alerts
Our bank account details NEVER change.
If you receive an email or phone call claiming to be from JCP Solicitors asking you to transfer funds to a different bank account than the one provided in hard copy, it is fraudulent.
What to do:
- Do NOT send money
- Call us immediately to verify the request
We do not accept liability for losses due to fraudulent emails or calls.
Payment Line Security
Our Payment Line Number and Autopayment Line Number will NEVER change. If you receive a request stating otherwise, treat it as fraudulent.
Telephone Number Spoofing
Fraudsters may use software to make their phone number appear as a trusted number (such as a law firm’s). They may impersonate solicitors and attempt to trick you into transferring funds into their account.
To protect yourself:
- If you receive a call requesting a payment, hang up and call our main switchboard to verify before transferring any money
- If in doubt, do NOT make the payment - scammers often pressure victims by creating a false sense of urgency
