Our Merger With Bissmire Fudge

In October 2012, Bissmire Fudge merged with JCP Solicitors. At the time of the merger we were proud to have shared the same ethos for client service and we continue to meet the needs of the existing clients of Bissmire Fudge under the umbrella of JCP Solicitors.

Orginally situated in Market Street in the county town of Haverfordwest, Bissmire Fudge, known as Bissmire Fudge and Co. was a successor to the firm of Tom Lewis & Co.

Tom Lewis and Co. was originally set up by Mr Lewis in the late 1970s and shortly afterwards in 1980 Michael Bissmire joined him. When Mr Lewis retired in 1983 Ian Fudge went into partnership with Michael Bissmire and hence the name Bissmire Fudge and Co. was formed.

The 1980s and 1990s saw the firm expand to a 4 partner firm with Gwyn Scale and Peter Radford joining the partnership. Bissmire Fudge at that time had two offices in Pembrokeshire - Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock. In 2002 due to the expansion of the Personal Injury department a further office was opened in Market Street to accommodate the new members of staff.

In March 2012 Michael Bissmire retired from the firm and on 1st October 2012, JCP Solicitors merged with Bissmire Fudge. Ian Fudge and Peter Radford remained as Directors in the practice until their retirements in January 2024 and December 2017 respectively.

The JCP Solicitors’ Fishguard and Haverfordwest teams merged into one modern office facility in November 2024 and you can now find us at: Oak Corner, Merlins Court, Winch Ln, Haverfordwest, SA61 1SB.
