Hi, I am Sarah, and I am a Finance Coordinator in the Court of Protection team at JCP, having joined the firm in January 2026. I support the team with a wide range of finance-related work, drawing on many years of experience in legal accounts and office management.
From the outset, I knew this role was an excellent fit for me. The team is welcoming and supportive, and the work is both varied and rewarding. The fast-paced nature of the role and the diverse workload provide a positive challenge and allow me to make full use of my previous experience within legal finance.
Before joining JCP, I spent 19 years working for a high street firm of solicitors in Swansea. I began my career as a Legal Secretary before moving into an Accounts role after one year, later taking on responsibility for Office Management. During this time, I gained extensive hands-on experience managing Solicitors’ Accounts across a broad range of practice areas, alongside overseeing firm finances, cashflow and day-to-day operational management. This background has provided me with a strong foundation for my role within the Court of Protection team.
I graduated from Swansea University in 2005 with a degree in Ancient and Medieval History. I have also studied British Sign Language to Level 2 with Neath College. While I have not had the opportunity to use BSL regularly in recent years, I retain a basic working understanding.
Outside of work, I run my own pet photography business, which provides a creative outlet alongside my role at JCP. I have received international awards for my photography, travelled to Iceland to photograph dogs, worked on marketing campaigns for British and international pet brands, and taught and presented pet photography both online and in person.
