Minji is a dedicated and detail-focused Legal Cashier at JCP Solicitors and has been a valued member of the Accounts team since January 2023. She holds an AAT Level 2 qualification with Distinction and brings five years of experience in legal accounts, complemented by a strong customer service background gained through her earlier career in hospitality management.
In her role, Minji is responsible for overseeing a high volume of daily financial transactions, reconciling client and deposit accounts, and ensuring all financial activities are carried out in accordance with compliance requirements and the Solicitors' Accounts Rules. She plays an important role in supporting the firm's financial performance by identifying recoverable costs, processing client-to-office transfers at the appropriate time, and ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
Minji also contributes to the continuous improvement of financial processes across the firm. By supporting initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce residual balances and strengthen internal controls, she helps ensure the Accounts team continues to deliver a reliable and effective service.
Known for her calm and methodical approach, Minji maintains a high level of accuracy during busy periods. Colleagues value her clear communication, supportive nature and willingness to assist with finance-related queries.
She works closely with solicitors and teams across the firm, providing practical guidance on financial procedures and helping to maintain smooth and consistent workflows.
Originally from South Korea, Minji moved to the UK in 2018 and has built both a successful professional career and family life in Swansea. Outside of work, she enjoys music and spending time outdoors with her two children and their dog, Teddy, exploring the Welsh coastline and countryside.
