Gethin is an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team, based in Swansea.
He joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in March 2024 and started his seat with the Commercial Litigation team in November 2024, where he completed the remainder of his training contract before qualifying into the team in September 2025. Since joining, Gethin has gained experience across a broad range of contentious commercial matters, supporting both businesses and individuals through complex disputes.
Gethin’s experience includes advising on:
- Commercial debt recovery
- Insolvency matters
- Commercial and shareholder disputes
- Fixed charge receiverships
- Mortgage possession proceedings
By its nature, commercial litigation often involves disputes between parties. Gethin takes a pragmatic and considered approach to each matter, focusing on understanding the client’s objectives from the outset and providing clear, practical advice tailored to their commercial priorities. He is known for his personal approach and for taking the time to ensure clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.
In addition to his legal work, Gethin is an active member of the firm’s #TeamJCP Community Group, where he assists with the planning and organisation of charitable and community-focused events.
Outside of work, Gethin enjoys a busy family life and has a keen interest in sport, particularly rugby, golf and CrossFit.
