Hi, I am Carolina, and I am a Legal Assistant in the Court of Protection team. As a direct point of contact for our clients, I support and guide them through matters relating to their property and financial affairs, helping to build trusted relationships and ensuring they feel supported throughout their journey with us.
I take pride in getting to know each client as an individual and helping to ensure their wishes, needs and best interests remain at the heart of every decision we make. It is incredibly rewarding to play a part in supporting vulnerable individuals who lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs, helping them to live as independently and comfortably as possible.
With the ambition of becoming a Solicitor, I joined JCP through the Legal Apprenticeship Scheme after completing my A Levels in Law, Business and Spanish. JCP's reputation and commitment to developing future legal professionals attracted me to the business and, since joining the Court of Protection team, I have benefited from the support and guidance of experienced colleagues who continue to encourage my professional development.
I am currently studying for the Level 5 Advanced Paralegal qualification with Trinity Saint David University of Wales and hope to continue my studies alongside working full-time at JCP as I progress towards qualification.
Originally from Italy, I also spent part of my childhood living in Brazil before moving to the UK in 2015. Arriving without speaking English presented its challenges, but through education and determination I became fluent and have even developed a Welsh accent. I am passionate about languages and speak fluent English, Portuguese and Italian, while continuing to develop my Spanish language skills.
Outside of work, I love travelling and experiencing different cultures, particularly in sunnier climates. I also enjoy returning to Italy and Brazil to spend time with family and stay connected to my roots.
