Carly leads the HR function at JCP, supporting colleagues across our offices in South, East, and West Wales. With a strong foundation in law and a real passion for working with people, Carly brings a unique mix of skills to her role. She loves finding ways to make JCP an even better place to work, her responsibilities include all things HR, such as employee relations, talent development, and strategic HR initiatives. For Carly, the best part of the job is helping colleagues thrive and creating a positive, inclusive workplace where everyone can do their best.
Carly began her career in the legal sector after completing her Law degree and LPC at Swansea University, achieving distinction in her postgraduate studies. She later transitioned into HR, gaining extensive experience in Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and later as a People and Culture Business Partner . Carly also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, which she completed with distinction while working full-time. Carly joined #TeamJCP in September 2023 as an HR Advisor, where she quickly became an integral part of the team. Her commitment and expertise saw her progress to HR Manager in January 2025, taking on a leadership role to drive forward key people strategies and support the growth of the business.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter, exploring new walks and staying active. She studied Welsh at A-Level although admits that her Welsh language skills are a bit rusty now!
