I am a Director in the Catastrophic Injury team at JCP Solicitors, with over 25 years’ experience representing clients’ whose lives have been permanently changed by serious injury.
I specialise in complex, high‑value catastrophic injury claims arising from road traffic collisions, workplace accidents and serious falls, including amputations, spinal cord injuries, polytrauma and traumatic or acquired brain injuries. I also act for families in fatal accident claims. A significant part of my practice involves acting for children and young people with lifelong disabilities because of birth injuries.
I take a practical and holistic approach to my work. In catastrophic injury cases, the priority is often securing meaningful support as early as possible. From the outset, I focus on progressing claims in a way that allows for early rehabilitation and interim payments, wherever possible, so that clients can access therapy, care, specialist equipment, alternative accommodation and wider support during the immediate aftermath and early stages of their recovery.
I understand that serious injury claims are not just about compensation. My role is to guide clients through what is often the most difficult period of their lives, providing clear, straightforward legal advice, while remaining mindful of the physical, emotional and financial challenges they are facing.
I am an APIL accredited (Senior Litigator) and a recent settlement includes an award of £3.65 million for a motorcyclist who sustained a below‑knee amputation. Other recent settlements have been significant recoveries for clients with permanent spinal injury and other life‑changing injuries as well as birth injuries.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1999. Before joining JCP Solicitors, I was a Legal Director at a national law firm, where I managed a substantial caseload of serious and catastrophic injury claims.
After a serious accident, my role is to remove the legal burden and help put stability back in place by progressing claims in a way that prioritises rehabilitation and early interim funding. I guide clients through every stage with clear advice, ensuring the full, long‑term impact of their injuries is properly reflected in the outcome.
Outside of work, I enjoy surfing on the beaches around Gower and West Wales.
