Hi, I am Caralee. I am a Legal Assistant in the Court of Protection team.
Having joined JCP in July 2022 knowing there would be opportunities to develop within the firm, but I did not expect this would include the chance to work towards becoming a Solicitor. Being able to study alongside my role has provided an alternative route to qualification and helped me pursue a goal that I had previously thought might not be achievable.
I started my time at JCP within Central Services, where I gained an understanding of the different roles across the firm and how they contribute to supporting our clients. I then had the opportunity to join the Court of Protection team as a Legal Assistant, where I have continued to grow my knowledge and develop my skills.
After completing the Level 3 Paralegal qualification, I am now studying towards the Level 5 Advanced Paralegal qualification alongside my role. I enjoy continuing my professional development while gaining practical experience within the Court of Protection team and working towards my long-term goal of becoming a Solicitor.
Outside of work, I volunteer as a Young Children's Worker within my local church. I also enjoy reading and exploring new places, particularly those with a rich history.
