Hi, I am Caitlin, and I am a Trainee Legal Assistant in the Court of Protection team at JCP Solicitors. I support the team in managing the financial affairs of individuals who lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves, helping to ensure their affairs are managed effectively and in their best interests.

My role is varied and involves providing both administrative and legal support to assist with the smooth progression of client matters. On a daily basis, I support the team with case management, maintaining client records, processing invoices and payments, managing documentation, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring important deadlines are met. I also assist with the practical aspects of deputyship management, helping to provide clients with the highest standard of care and support.

I am passionate about developing my legal knowledge and expanding my experience within the Court of Protection sector. I particularly enjoy the variety of work involved, the opportunity to solve problems, and being part of a team that is dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives. As I continue to develop in my role, I look forward to taking on new challenges and responsibilities while providing the highest level of support to both clients and colleagues.

Before pursuing a career in law, I completed my A Levels in Business Studies, Media Studies, and Health and Social Care. I was drawn to the legal profession because it combines problem-solving, attention to detail, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to people's lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy attending music festivals with friends, travelling to new places, and exploring different restaurants.
