JCP Solicitors Announces Partnership With Triathlon Cymru

JCP Solicitors has announced their latest sponsorship deal with Triathlon Cymru (Welsh Triathlon) marking a year of investment into local sport.

The strategic partnership will see JCP Solicitors’ expert Personal Injury team provide a free-to-access helpline for Triathlon Cymru Affiliated Members and Club Members, offering tailored legal advice for triathletes who have had accidents whilst training and racing.

Affiliated and Club Members will be able to speak to trained members of JCP’s team who will triage calls for accidents, advising on the next steps of a legal claim where suitable. All advice will be given freely, regardless of the severity of the accident and whether a personal injury claim is involved.

The award-winning team at JCP Solicitors is recognised in the industry Bible, the Legal 500, as a leading firm in Wales for Personal Injury. The team – who pride themselves on being specialists in their fields- are also business members of the Spinal Injuries Association and included in the directory of specialist Solicitors provided by Headway UK, the nation’s leading brain injury charity.

Ian Rees, Director and Head of Personal Injury said: “Partnering with Triathlon Cymru not only reaffirms our commitment to supporting the sporting community, it also allows us to help more people to understand their rights when it comes to legal claims.

“Unlike many everyday incidents, triathletes can face significant financial losses, from damage to high-value bikes and specialist equipment to lost race entry fees, travel costs and missed training opportunities.

“Compensation is not simply about money. It is about helping people access the support they need to recover and get back to the sport they love. Early access to specialist physiotherapy and rehabilitation can be crucial in restoring confidence, rebuilding fitness and helping athletes return to training, racing and everyday life as quickly and safely as possible.”

Catherine Roberts, CEO of Triathlon Cymru, said: “As serious injuries caused by road cycling increased by almost 15% last year, it is vital that those training for triathlon do so in as safe a manner as possible. And, that those training know where to turn for expert support should an accident occur.

“This partnership gives our members access to expert legal advisers who provide professional, personalised guidance.

“Our 6,500 affiliated Club Members can now have peace-of-mind that should an accident occur there are specialists who will stay by their side to find a way through. We are delighted to have JCP Solicitors on board as a sponsor and we look forward to working closely with the team.”

If you have had an accident racing or training, you may only have 3 years to make a claim. To contact JCP Solicitors’ legal accident helpline, email WelshTriathlon@jcpsolicitors.co.uk or call 0333 188 1052.
