Samuel Barnes

Sam is a Solicitor within our Medical Negligence Team based in Swansea. Sam specialises in claims within the Redress Scheme, and deals with a myriad of medical negligence claims including delays in diagnosis, errors in surgery and fatal claims. Sam fully appreciates the difficulties and stress which can be caused to his clients who have, or have had family, suffer from medical negligence, and therefore ensures that they are supported fully when assisting them with pursuing a medical negligence claim.

Sam graduated from the University of Southampton with his law degree in 2015. Following this he joined a large insurance company where he dealt with catastrophic and serious injury claims.

Sam joined JCP Solicitors in 2018 as a part-time Legal Assistant in the Medical Negligence Team, where he quickly developed a case load dealing with claims within the Redress Scheme. Meanwhile, Sam also undertook the LPC combined with a Masters at Swansea University.

Sam commenced his training contract in March 2021, and qualified as a solicitor in September 2022.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing 5 aside football and cooking.

Sam undertook training in 2020 to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.
