Ffion Wareham

Trainee Solicitor - Commercial Litigation

Ffion first joined JCP in 2021 as part of our Business Support team and quickly progressed into a Legal Assistant role in our Court of Protection team. Ffion is a current Trainee Solicitor and has worked in a number of the firm's practice areas to date.

Whilst assisting the Court of Protection team, Ffion helped to manage the financial affairs of our clients that have sustained a brain injury. Here, Ffion grew a real passion for the legal work carried out by our Court of Protection team and strived to build and maintain good relations with clients, their families and supporting professionals. Ffion appreciates the importance of an understanding and compassionate approach to the challenges faced by those who may seek legal advice.

Ffion commenced her training contract at JCP Solicitors within our Family team. During this time, she assisted the team with Children Matters and Divorce and Financial Matters. Ffion also oversaw both the Adult and Children Change of Name Deed work of the team, which she particularly enjoyed. Ffion then moved into our Commercial Litigation team, where she helped play a contributing role in the firm’s insolvency, debt recovery, business dispute and professional negligence matters.

Ffion currently assists Thomas Rees and Matthew Owen of our Medical Negligence team and looks forward to assisting the firm’s injury services clients.

A graduate of Swansea University, Ffion attained her Law Degree in 2019. She then continued her studies by completing the Legal Practice Course and Masters of Laws, achieving a Distinction in both qualifications.

Ffion undertook training in 2021 to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.

Outside of work, Ffion is an active member of the Swansea and District Junior Lawyers Division. Ffion acts as the committee's social secretary, where she helps to organise both social and charity events throughout the calendar year. In her free time, Ffion also enjoys socialising with family & friends, swimming and baking cakes.
