Emma Gilroy

Hi, I’m Emma, a business owner and Head of the Residential Property teams across all of our offices in South West Wales and South East Wales. My role includes overarching the Residential Property team focusing on management, business continuity and employee wellbeing.

My experience across a wide range of commercial property and residential property work drives the strategic success of the Residential Property team and ensures compliance is at the forefront across the department. I am also on hand to assist with any queries the team have on legal issues, as well as running Commercial Property matters of my own, specialising in leases, sales and purchases of developments and financing matters.

I first joined JCP as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2006 and upon qualification in September 2008, became a Solicitor in the Commercial Property Department. In 2011 I was promoted to my current role of Head of Residential Property, and as a result of my success in developing and expanding the team, was made up to Partner in July 2013. On April 6th 2015, the business became a limited company, and I am now a Director.

More recently, I was appointed Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) which allows me to support the wider JCP team and reinforce the importance of compliance across the company.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit, walking (including challenges like the Welsh 3 Peaks) and spending time with my two young boys who keep me on my toes. You can find me on the side lines most Sunday’s in my “soccer mum” role!
