Marketing Assistant - Swansea

We are looking for our next Marketing Assistant! In this role, you will get hands-on experience, mentorship and be part of a fun, creative, enthusiastic and happy team.

Full training will be given and no previous experience is necessary; just enthusiasm and confidence to learn new skills and deliver a good quality service to our Clients and other team members.

This role is ideal for a candidate who is looking for a career in marketing and is excited to learn the basics. Whilst career development is encouraged within JCP, this will be in line with business growth and is not a guaranteed pathway.

This vacancy is for our Swansea office, but travel to other offices and venues in South and West Wales could be required on occasion. Attendance will be required at some events outside of normal working hours on a time-in-lieu basis.

Duties will include:

  • Booking events and maintaining the events diary
  • General administrative functions such as replying to general communication emails and helping to organise central folders and checklists for activities and events
  • Processing invoices and updating team budgets
  • Database processing and administration
  • Assisting with arranging and attending (where necessary) marketing events such as trade stands, seminars, business lunches and conferences
  • Keeping an inventory of marketing materials and timely ordering of new stock when required for events
  • Assisting with digital marketing such as uploading/editing pre-agreed content to the company website/social media
  • Assisting with administration around online reviews and recording sources of new business
  • Using online tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Later.com and Buzzsprout
  • Logging feedback from clients and responding to online reviews
  • Creating images in company style for content, such as email newsletters, posters for events and posts for social media
  • Plus many other interesting, fun tasks that can fall out of the sky at any time!

The successful candidate should have:

  • Excellent administration, organisational, and communication skills
  • A confident phone manner
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good IT Skills
  • A driving licence and access to transport when required
  • Flexibility to work unusual hours with notice

The successful candidate should be qualified to GCSE or A Level and be computer literate. Excel skills are desirable for this position. We are proud to hold the Cynnig Cymraeg accreditation so whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not required in this role, it will be considered as a benefit.

We are strong supporters of the Welsh language and are very proud to have been the first firm of solicitors to be awarded the “Cynnig Cymraeg/Welsh Offer” recognition by the Welsh Language Commissioner in 2021. We support our Welsh speakers and fund lessons for those who would like to learn Welsh.
