In September of 2017, Shaunna Rees joined JCP’s busy Residential Property team in Cardiff soon after qualifying and has quickly showed herself to be a legal professional who is not just a proficient, highly effective solicitor, but also someone who is making her mark within the wider legal profession. This wider impact is largely thanks to her drive to set up the successful networking group for industry professionals in the Cardiff region, No Agenda. The networking evening, which she co-hosts with fellow colleagues, attracts between 40 and 60 business professionals at each event.
A positive role model for colleagues, she is a regular attendee at Cardiff Business Club and other networking events in the city, and is a Member of the Cardiff Law Society.
Experienced in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold, leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, new builds and unregistered land, Shaunna is recognised by the Directors in her team as a rising star and is expected to continue to enjoy an impressive career at JCP.
After qualifying in April 2016, Shaunna gained experience in a volume conveyancing department, based in South Wales. Shaunna undertook her degree at Swansea University, graduating in 2013 and then went on to study the LPC part-time at the University of South Wales whilst completing her training contract in a small Mid Wales firm.
Shaunna is accredited by the Welsh Government as a Conveyancer for Help to Buy Wales, The Welsh Government’s Help to Buy Scheme. This scheme was launched due to the number of errors being made by professionals in submitting the required paperwork to Help to Buy Wales, which was causing unnecessary delays in funds being released in time for completion. Shaunna’s accreditation will ensure that transactions involving Help to Buy Wales are completed as soon as possible with minimal stress.
Outside of work, Shaunna enjoys attending the theatre, sporting events, spending time with friends and attending various fitness classes.
