Matthew has a real passion for Family Law. He has developed a reputation for “a down to earth” approach to problem solving and obtains both advantageous and sensible outcomes for his clients. He is a robust advocate, hard-working and approachable. Matthew is a member of Resolution, an organisation for professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
He has a wide experience of all areas of family practice and routinely deals with all aspects of private children matters (including financial applications under Schedule 1 of the children Act 1989), Divorce, Civil Partnership disputes, financial remedies, Domestic Violence issues (including injunctions), and co-habitation disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.

After graduating from Cardiff University with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Law degree Matthew attended Swansea University, where he undertook the Legal Practice Course and achieved the highest possible grade a “Distinction”. He qualified as a Family Solicitor in 2008. Matthew joined JCP in December 2013, became Head of the Family Team for Swansea and West Wales in 2017 and progressed to the position of Director in October 2018
A keen runner, Matthew was the winner of the inaugural JCP Solicitors Swansea Half Marathon 2014.
