Matthew has a real passion for Family Law. He has developed a reputation for “a down to earth” approach to problem solving and obtains both advantageous and sensible outcomes for his clients. He is a robust advocate, hard-working and approachable. Matthew is a member of Resolution, an organisation for professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
He has a wide experience of all areas of family practice and routinely deals with all aspects of private children matters (including financial applications under Schedule 1 of the children Act 1989), Divorce, Civil Partnership disputes, financial remedies, Domestic Violence issues (including injunctions), and co-habitation disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
Matthew is recommended by the Legal 500 2016 edition.
After graduating from Cardiff University with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Law degree Matthew attended Swansea University, where he undertook the Legal Practice Course and achieved the highest possible grade a “Distinction”. He qualified as a Family Solicitor in 2008 and Director in October 2018.
A keen runner, Matthew was the winner of the inaugural JCP Solicitors Swansea Half Marathon 2014.
