Ceri joined JCP as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2018, after graduating from Swansea University and completing the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law in Bristol.
Ceri has completed seats within the Rural team and the Lifetime Planning team and has now hit the ground running as a qualified Solicitor in the Personal Injury team, where she has spent the last 12 months of her training contract.
Ceri is a fluent Welsh speaker having being brought up in a Welsh speaking agricultural community in North Wales. She has also completed the Welsh Language Skills certificate with the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol as a part of her undergraduate studies.
Ceri has been a committee member of the Swansea Junior Lawyer’s Division for the past year and is currently one of the corporate secretaries having helped arrange various corporate workshops throughout the year, such as the Advocacy workshop, an annual event for young legal professionals and students to attend to practice and improve their advocacy skills.
Before starting as a Trainee Solicitor, Ceri first spent time JCP Solicitors as a part of her work experience during the final year of her degree. Firstly spending time with the Rural team before moving onto the Business Support team, where she carried out a variety of tasks including database work.
Ceri undertook training in 2020 to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.
Outside of the office, Ceri enjoys cycling having taken park in the Swansea JLD’s 200042000 challenge in July 2020 to raise money for Mind Charity. She is also a keen rugby player and is currently playing for the West Swansea Hawks ladies team. Ceri also has an interest in music and plays the cello as well as guitar in a 5-piece band based here in Swansea.
