Bethan Robart
Bethan is an Associate Solicitor in the Court of Protection team based in Swansea. Bethan takes a compassionate approach to understanding the challenges of life after injury. Bethan is committed to providing a prompt and friendly service to our clients and their families. Bethan is a fluent Welsh speaker.
Bethan first joined the team at JCP in 2017 as part of our Swansea University placement scheme. During that time she worked as a Legal Assistant within Injury Services. Bethan was then offered a role within our Deputy Legal team and continued to work alongside completing the final year of her Law degree. Following completion of her studies, Bethan started her Training Contract in March 2021.
A graduate of Swansea University, Bethan attained a First Class Honours in Law in 2019. She then continued her studies by completing the Legal Practice Course and Masters of Laws, achieving a Distinction in both qualifications. Drawing upon her experience in the Deputy Legal team, Bethan focused her dissertation on the role of the Court of Protection in appointing lay and professional deputies.
In 2021, Bethan was elected as Vice President for the Swansea and District Junior Lawyers Division. Her role involves attending national meetings to discuss policy issues such as diversity, inclusion and accessibility within the legal profession. Bethan also participates in research relating to legal education and technology. Bethan participates in arranging a number of charity fundraisers and career development events for aspiring lawyers.
Outside of work, Bethan enjoys exploring the coastline in Wales and spending time with her family and friends.
