Life after Furlough - Online workshop for Employers

Join us for our free Zoom workshop on  Wednesday 13 May, 2 – 3.30 pm  considering the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and the implications of UK Government preparing to ease restrictions.

With the UK Government announcing a slight ease to restrictions, but with Wales announcing another three weeks of lockdown, employers will be concerned about the future, faced with what could be turbulent trading conditions and some businesses remaining closed or with limited trading.

Hosted by Catherine Almeida, Employment Solicitor and Natasha Johnston, HR Advisor this workshop will cover:

  • Record keeping
  • Potential legal claims
  • Social distancing measures
  • Lay-off/short time working
  • Redundancy - small or larger scale, the latter requiring collective consultation
  • Changes to terms and conditions
  • Disputes that may arise from employment relationships in these difficult times
  • The impact of recent announcements

This online workshop is suitable for those dealing with HR and personnel issues in business.

Catherine has recently joined the team at JCP returning to South Wales from a leading legal business in Bristol as an Employment Solicitor, specialising in employee disputes. She has more than 10 years’ experience in giving legal support to business and private clients and considerable experience of contentious employment law and employment tribunal proceedings.

Natasha’s experience includes providing case management support on complex HR Issues such as attendance, grievance and disciplinary matters. In addition to this Natasha can provide advice on policy drafting and implementation, employee relations, TUPE and Redundancy Handling.
