First Advice Meeting

At JCP Solicitors we understand that it is really hard to know what service you actually require from your Family Law Solicitor and instructing a solicitor based on an “hourly rate” can be a daunting prospect. With this in mind, we encourage all our new clients to start with our First Advice Meeting Service.

For £250+VAT this service gives you access to a qualified Solicitor with experience in family law matters, providing you with the quality guidance you need on how to proceed. You can use this time to seek advice, for example, on your spouse or partner's actions relating to divorce, children issues, or financial matters.

We will also open a file in your name and keep a record of your situation, should you need to come back to us further along in the future. This service includes all the necessary regulatory checks that we will need to undertake to act for you. It also prevents the person(s) on the other side of your matter from being able to instruct us for their legal advice.

This service will enable us to provide you with a more accurate quotation for how long it could take and how much it will cost for you to bring your matter to a conclusion. We can also give you further information about the steps that could be involved.

We can conduct the meeting at our office, by video conference or over the telephone, whichever option suits you. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm but we are happy to be flexible to fit in with your needs and your working arrangements.

VAT is currently charged at 20%.
