Andrew Meech

Director & Joint Head of Commercial Litigation

Andrew has built a reputation in the business community in both South and West Wales, and has experience in providing advice to a range of businesses; boasting a portfolio of clients who operate on a local, national and international level. Andrew is the Under Sheriff of West Glamorgan.

Having developed a particular interest in sports law, Andrew also provides commercial advice to a number of notable high-level sports clubs and organisations both in Wales and in Europe. Of significant note is Andrew’s relationship with the Italian technical sportswear brand Macron S.p.A based in Bologna, Italy. Andrew regularly advises Macron on various matters which includes advice relating to Macron’s existing and anticipated technical sponsorship and supplier agreements relating to its growing portfolio of professional sports teams throughout the UK, North America and beyond. 

In addition, Andrew regularly advises Insolvency Practitioners on various matters regarding personal and corporate insolvency with a particular emphasis on disputes concerning misfeasance, breach of duty, preferences, transactions at an undervalue and transactions designed to defraud creditors. As part of Andrew’s litigation practice he is fully rehearsed in all methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Andrew first began working for JCP in 2005 as part of the inaugural Swansea University Graduate Placement Scheme.  Following a successful placement, Andrew began his training contract in 2008 qualifying as a Solicitor in 2010. Due to Andrew’s career success, and his route of entry into JCP, he still has strong links with the school of law at Swansea University and regularly attends as a guest speaker at post graduate seminars and events.
