- Our use of cookies and other information gathering technologies
During the course of any visit to our site, the pages you see, along with a short text file called a 'cookie', are downloaded to your computer. Many websites do this, because cookies facilitate useful features such as the ability to identify whether a user has successfully logged into the site or to find out whether the computer (and probably its user) has visited the website before.
- How we protect your information
The internet is not a secure medium. However we have put in place various security procedures as set out in this policy.
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which is an industry standard for internet payments. This means all of your personal and card details are protected using 128 bit encryption when your details are transmitted over the Internet. Our site is secured by Verisign. Click the Versign logo to the right to confirm the validity of our secure certificate.
Check you are using a secure site
When your browser displays the online payment page, you will notice that the URL at the top of the browser window starts with https instead of http. You will also see a closed padlock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window. Put your mouse over the padlock for a little while and you should see the encryption strength. It should be at least SSL Secured 128 bit.
If you share your PC or use a facility in a public place
