Former NFU Cymru Director joins JCP Solicitors
Leading Welsh law firm JCP Solicitors has appointed former NFU Cymru Director Malcolm Thomas as Rural Client Manager in its Rural Practice Team.
Mr Thomas, of Llangynog, Carmarthen, joins the South Wales company from his role as Community Transport Association's Director for Wales.
Having previously held positions as Director of Business Services, Membership and Regions for the NFU in England and Wales; the National Farmers’ Union Cymru's
Head of Policy and Resources/Deputy Director; and Head of Agriculture and European Commodity Policy Division in the Welsh Office, Mr Thomas’ appointment is a considerable coup for the law firm which has a specialist Agricultural and Rural Practice team.
Speaking of the key appointment, Rory Hutchings, Head of Rural Practice at JCP Solicitors, said: “Malcolm’s knowledge of the agricultural sector in Wales is second to none, and to have the benefit of such wide experience is a massive boost for the Rural Practice Team and will enable to ensure the highest level of client care for both our existing and new clients both in the farming community and the wider rural economy.."
