Experts call for focused relationship rehabilitation to reduce brain injury stress

A panel of brain injury experts have reinforced the need for focused rehabilitation for brain injury victims and their families in order to prevent relationship breakdown in the future.

The message, which was outlined during a neurobehavioural seminar in Swansea, was conveyed by eminent neurobehavioural and neuropsychology Professors Rodger Wood and Huw Williams who spoke during the day long event organised by Clinical Neuropsychologist, Dr Simon Redpath, with support from the catastrophic injury team at JCP Solicitors.

South Wales law firm has helped to raise an anticipated £2.1 million for charity

A leading South Wales law firm has helped to raise an anticipated £2.1 million for charity as a result of the 89 free wills that it completed throughout October’s ‘Free Wills Month’.

For the 7th year running Swansea-based JCP Solicitors took part in the nationwide campaign to offer free Wills as part of a month long drive to get more people in the UK covered by a legally binding Will. As a result 89 people took up the offer of a free Will and instead of paying the standard fee, most made a donation to charity.

Hats the way to raise money for charity!

A local charity is asking for the people of Swansea to help it raise vital funds by taking part in Hats for Headway Day and donning a wacky hat for a day.

Headway Swansea, which helps people to rebuild their lives following brain injury, is asking for local companies, community organisations, schools and colleges to sign up and get involved with the event, which takes place on Friday 13 May. 

Awards Raise Record Sum for Charity

The 2010 Swansea Bay Business Awards have once again raised a record amount for this year’s nominated beneficiary, Stepping Stones Children’s Centre.

Award sponsors JCP Solicitors nominated Stepping Stones, which works to provide play and development services for pre-school children with a diagnosed or emerging disability. The awards evening was held at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall on Friday 26th November. A record £2410 was raised at the awards ceremony, a huge increase on last year’s total of £1,656.

Local Law Firm Donate Free Wills

For the month of October JCP Solicitors, based in Swansea, South Wales will offer its specialist will-writing services for free to those aged 55 and over. Free Wills Month brings together ten major UK charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their Wills written or updated for free by using selected solicitors.

Staff at a Swansea law firm joined in the spirit for brain injury charity Headway’s annual ‘Hat’s Off For Headway’ by wearing their silly hats to work.

The team at JCP Solicitors, on Valley Way in Swansea - which includes a Catastrophic Injury Team specialising in brain injury cases - spent the day wearing their silliest hats to help raise awareness for Headway which helps individuals with brain injuries throughout the UK.
