Trusts are used in a variety of situations - it is a common misconception that they are just used by the super rich as they can satisfy a vast array of objectives such as making provision for children or other dependants often in conjunction with life policies. The most common use of trusts is as a tax planning tool – for example, thousands of pounds worth of tax can be saved by including a trust within your Will. However, specialist advice is essential.
