Inheritance Tax

Individual

handsInheritance Tax is a tax payable on death. When you die your estate is valued. The amount of your estate over the Inheritance Tax threshold at the time will be subject to Inheritance Tax at 40%. The tax will be payable from your estate unless the estate can claim an Inheritance Tax exemption or relief. This tax burden can often be very substantial. There are however many ways of reducing this burden during your lifetime, by your will and sometimes after your death. Taking expert legal advice on Inheritance Tax planning could well save your estate ten thousands of pounds of your hard-earned savings. Our Wills & Probate Team will be able to provide you with full advice on all Inheritance Tax issues.
