We recognise that one of the most sensitive issues associated with a separation is that of your children. If you are going through a divorce then we will consider the likely effect that your decisions may have on your children and we can offer you advice on matters concerning child maintenance, contact and residence issues, and how the resolution of financial matters may be affected by the need to provide for the children.

We are keen to ensure that children do not suffer as a result of a divorce or relationship breakdown. Where appropriate, we can make a referral to mediation so that you and your spouse or partner can discuss any issues with an independent person with a view to reaching an agreement and avoiding Court proceedings.
