A group of employees at John Collin & Partners LLP Solicitors have been granted two days paid leave by their employer to undertake a garden makeover at Morriston Primary School in Swansea. They are undertaking this scheme through Business in the Community, a charity organisation which helps thousands of businesses nationwide be able to be socially and ethically responsible by giving something back to the community to which they live.

Morriston Primary school is located in an area with few facilities within the local community. The school has worked really hard to improve its indoor and outdoor facilities and a trip to the school highlights the fantastic internal support ethos and kind-heartedness of all the children and parents of the school.

JCP are now working hard towards planning further renovation of an outdoor area for the yard used by the reception children. Plans for this area include the installation of a canopy for use in wet weather, an area for the children to grow their own flowers, mirrors and art materials, black board areas and plenty of seating for summer days. The area will also be painted in bright colours to ensure it is area of enjoyment for all the children.

The project is due to take place on April 3rd 2008 and the team are grateful for any donations from local businesses to help support this project.

So far the generous businesses who have helped support this cause include;

Grommies- Surf Wear for Kids www.grommies.co.uk

Wyevale Garden Centre- Swansea

B&Q- Swansea
